Classic level soccer is a higher competitive level of soccer within North Carolina Youth Soccer Association.  Classic level soccer is geared towards players who demonstrate only the highest level of talent and commitment. 
     Players at this level will work hard to become the best they can be, excelling in technical and tactical skill, fitness, and sportsmanship.  Many classic level players go on to play in high school, college, and some even go on to become pro. 
     A tryout is required to be selected and placed on a classic team roster. 
Tryouts are generally held towards the end of May or in early to mid June. Players selected to roster to a HYSA classic team will commit for the fall and spring season.  Classic teams will participate in regular season games and tournament play throughout the state.
     Players must register online for the tryouts prior to coming to the actual tryouts.   New players that have not played for HYSA before must bring a birth certificate for viewing by our staff for proof of age.
      A medical waiver also must be filled out by a parent in order to participate in our tryouts.  This form is found on our website under the documents tab.
